250 to 52 Wk 1 of the BL spring challenge

Saturday, March 24, 2012

Week one of the spring challenge is over and week 2 has started. I am so grateful to have such an Awesome team and Awesome Leaders. I always have to give a shout to my first co-lead Alana(All-is-amazing) because she went through the trenches with me when I jumped into the water to take over the team....I could not swim LOL.

I am on day 32 of no meat and FINALLY I am doing better. Initially I did a lot of healthy carbs but carbs nethertheless! I am happy to say that I feel pretty good. This week I released 4 pounds! emoticon emoticon It has been a while since I have been back at this point. I have also found a Zumba class that I REALLY LOVE. I have one more beginners yoga class then I will start Pilates for beginners. Now to incorporate this into my daily routine.

I am learning that I do have control over my responses. When I get stressed I have learned to breath instead of look for an excuse to go to Starbucks. When I go it is simply because I want it.

So since I lost these 4 pounds I am treating myself to a mani/pedi

I am still enjoying the book Savor!

Thanks to all of my friends who continue to support me on this journey!

OH I had my first time shopping at a consignment shop.... my youngest is always talking about it so I had drove by a place 3 mo ago or even longer but today we were going shopping for her spring break college tour and I remembered the place. WE HAD A BALL and she found LOTS of stuff! It was a lovely day with ALL of my girls

Namaste my friends emoticon

I too am a bargain shopper! I love thrift stores, consignment shops, flea markets, junk sales...you get the idea! I need to take some time and go with my mom one of these weekends! She is the one who taught me to shop savvy!

Way to go on the 4 pounds! You are amazing and our team is proof of that! You are an awesome leader and we couldn't do it without you! So, with that said...THE THRASHERS ARE COMING FOR YOU THIS WEEK! emoticon

I'm so happy that you are finally able to concentrate on YOU and are seeing some great results! The mani/pedi sounds heavenly. I'm just waiting for Sarah's departure to schedule mine...must be available for her until then, but she's leaving Thursday. :(

Girl's day out is fantastic. Can't wait to see my daughters...one with her family on Saturday and the other in a couple of weeks at Grandma's house. Wish there would be time for consignment shop shopping. Now that I'm a reasonable size again, I can find more to buy!

Congrats on the loss...I always knew you could do it. I have to also tell ya I love the goodwill and thrift stores. I have a ball in those places. Such good deals and so much fun to plunder. I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with your girls. Those memories are the best. My daughter and I have "girls" day every now and again and we have a blast. Enjoy your new pilates class. I enjoy that exercise most of all.

4 pounds is wonderful!! Congratulations on your meatless journey and the reward you found yesterday. What a fun shopping trip, I understand that very intelligent and aware consumers requent the consignment shops with excellent finds :).

and Bravo on your reward - they are the best - I think the trip and time we give ourselves is just as rewarding as the actualy treatments. WOOHOO - enjoy
