training for 5k walk

am training for my first 5k walk. emoticon i really don't like to walk ... but I'm finding my self strangely motivated. i found a 5k 8 week walking plan on line and I am following that.

yesterday was day one at 10 minutes. today was 12 minutes. found a free pedometer app for my ipod - it calculates steps, distance, time and calories. It's cool to see all that information.

tomorrow is a rest day. Thursday is next walk day. there's a 5k program here on sparkpeople. you can add your distance and it calculates that information in to the cardio section on the fitness page. i thought that was pretty cool too.
