I'm interning a Forepaugh's which is an upscale restaurant here in St. Paul. Average dinner per person is $60. The food is great however the desserts so not reflect the same quality or beauty. This is a work in progress.
My problem, frustration is that I'm working with at 21 year old pastry chef who only has 3 months of experience, just graduted 7 months ago from the same program I've beeen attending. And too boot she's only in her position because she was basically threatened into it. When you ask questions to clarify or understand something she just says " just do whatever" and waves her hand or walks away. She leaves me with lists of things to do only when she's there which I semi appreciate but what about something to do when she's not.
I've not been there long enough to know the usual flow or volume of business to gauge things for myself but I'm trying.
Anyway, enough venting, off I go.
