Day 19 - Am I really enjoying this?

Ok, let me confess upfront - I had a snack binge yesterday as I was working a charity event - no excuses, just bad planning. I'm not letting that get me down - just need to be very cognizant this week of the impact to my weight and to get back on track!

As for the TV portion - it was interesting week with the kids home from college on Spring Break. My son had the tv on a good part of the week, whether catching up on movies or having extended video playing times. I found myself really annoyed by the noise. I had no problems not watching along with the family, but even the fact that the set was on actually annoyed me. Can I possibly be finding that my mood has been impacted by a stupid TV? It's Sunday evening, so both went back to school today. Immediately, the classical music station went on. I printed my NCAA bracket from the internet, checked up on weekend sports scores for basketball, soccer, and NASCAR online, and settled back into my favorite faux leather chair with a cup of herbal tea, soft lights, and Condoleeza Rice's book - and just smiled! I loved seeing the kids - they are one of the greatest joys of our lives - but I don't miss having the TV on. I found myself a little more stressed than normal last week - will be interesting to see if my recent lifestyle change back in swing helps my overall relaxation state and helps me to destress more after work this week. I kind of have a feeling it will!
