I need to workout everyday!
Today I had my first appointment with a physical therapist to see if therapy would help the pain in my shoulder and left arm. My therapist said that he sees this all the time. Basically, the fluid filled disk between two of my vertebrates protrudes out and hits the nerve that is for my left arm. When I am sitting, pressure is put on the front of the disk making the fluid disperse to the back. The more pain I am in (and radiating down my arm) the further the fluid is protruding. It comes from people slouching while sitting at a table, desk, etc. Doesn't help that I use my laptop at the kitchen table all of the time! Well, a couple of exercises later, I was out the door with another appointment to see him tomorrow. These exercises don't hurt, but, like any exercise, I just don't want to do it! It is hard to sit straight up and type a post and not look down at the screen. Anyway, I have done the exercises. I am not sure how many times I should do them, but I need to really do them when I am in pain. Question: When I am in pain, I am usually either trying to eat or trying to blog. How can I do those things (which need my hands to do) AND do my exercises (which need same said hands)? *sigh*
As for everything else weight loss related, it is not going well. I ate a half a loaf of garlic bread last night so it would not go to waste (so it went TO my waist instead)! :( Today is going a little better though. I am going to repost my meeting with my trainer back in October so that I will have an account on this blog as to what he suggested I do and what I found in my research. I guess I need to "Just Do It" as Nike would say! Day 2 of Operation Weightloss is NOT getting closer to the goal!
