Built a bridge, so I can get over it.

First off, let me share a really cool article I've been reading this morning. It's all about the whole exercise & eating connection, some of the pitfalls, some ways you can over come them, just some really interesting stuff that made me think. www.askmen.com/sports/fo

Now, I've come to grips with me not losing any weight for the past month. I'm over it. I'm going to bust my ass to get leaner, and look at the weight as more of a conversation filler. People don't ask you, "How many inches have you lost?" They ask how many lbs you've lost.
Yesterday, I went to the gym and took 3 classes : CxWorks, Body Pump, and Body Combat. I'm sore as heck this morning, but was really happy when I left. I got compliments from the owner of the gym on my plank form: "You were just straight as an arrow, no booty up! Best form in there" I take that with pride as 2 of the other members in there were vets of this gym and should know the proper form for a plank by now. I'm a stickler for form because I don't want any injuries. I also got a super sweaty fist bump from the big gruff regular after Combat. That class literally has you sweating where it looks like you've taken your water bottle, open it, and shook it all around. I actually learned his name too! It's Mike, and he thinks I'm doing so well and my motivation is killer. Pretty good for only making it to classes for 3 days a week. Haha!
My body is aching from yesterday, but I love that. I love knowing I got the muscle groups I was going for. My back muscles are sore anytime I roll my shoulders, my abs and obliques are giving me issue when I'm stretching for something, and my butt feels those BodyPump lunges any time I go to stand up from sitting. Might be a Yoga only kind of day.

I'm trying out TurboFire. I'm normally not one for the latest and greatest, but I've found some good information on it. After watching the little infomerical on the site, it really looks like a mixture of Zumba, and Combat. I'm in for a huge sweatfest if this is true. I'm borrowed a disk from a friend and I'm going to try it out. I have the HIIT 15, Stretch 10 disk. Will be interesting and I'll be sure to let you guys know how I like it.

I really liked that article, thanks for sharing that!

I've so often heard that weight loss is 90% diet/what you eat, and 10% exercise. This article gives some really interesting perspectives into why that is true. "Weight loss will always mostly be a dietary issue".
I know for myself, almost every pound I lost was from healthy eating. I've added the exercise in more fully now to get strong and get fit. (Contrary to the article that says to start with exercise first! Luckily my battles with junk food aren't too bad). It is good info to think over.

Kudos to you on all this great cardio you are doing!! Having great form is so important. I struggle with that.. and am working with a Personal Trainer now who is helping me immensely! Congrats on your NSV's with Mike... it is awesome to be recognized for your efforts!

You are totally rocking it! The weight loss is bound to happen.
