My Goals for today, Monday 3/19/07

The most important thing I need to focus on right now is eating slower and taking smaller bites so I am consciously taking half the size bite I normaly would and paying attention to how long I chew, I have a serious problem with eating too fast and taking humoungous bites like I'm starving to death, so even though I have b een a sparkperson for a few months I still havnt moved on to stage four, in fact I am basicly in stage one, slow but sure, at least this time I am learning what I am doing wrong so I can make the changes I need to so I can live this new lifestyle.

    You said it yourself..it takes time to relearn habits..not everyone starts out losing lots..some start out by slowly changing habits and simply becoming aware of things..that is a huge thing in making this a healthy lifestyle..the weight loss will come..I have a brother in law who yo yo's and has never understood that a good share of his battle is not stopping to enjoy his food..you will get full if you eat slower with less food and by putting that food on something like a salad plate vs a dinner plate...that helps with portions...those are a couple of tricks I have used..maybe they will help
