The faith of a child

Today is my youngest grandson, Ben's, birthday. He turned 6. For today there was a prediction of maybe a few snow flurries but no accumulation. However, when we woke up the ground was covered and the trees had the beautiful layers of snow on them. On the way to school his sister (10) told him that Grandpa had asked God to send some snow just for his birthday. At the time it was not snowing, but about 10 seconds later it was snowing so hard it looked like a blizzard. The flakes were large, fluffy and beautiful, but it only lasted a couple of minutes. Now Ben is fully convinced that Grandpa sent him a birthday gift (the snow) with God's help. Ted loved all the grandchildren but there was a special relation between him and Be--probably because we kept him while his mother worked and when his mother was busy with his sister's dance activities. As for me, I am not sure that the snow today wasn't a gift from Heaven for a little boy who loves and misses his grandpa and never once thought to question that God would do it if Grandpa asked him.
