I'm tired of flying by the seat of my pants. I planned out this weeks meals, including snacks.
Breakfasts - Oatmeal, Eggs
Lunches- Lentil Burgers, Eggplant Lasagna (leftovers)
Dinners - Eggplant Lasagna, Mushroom Farfalle, Greek Scampi, Bellpepper & Mushroom Pizza, & Roast Chicken w/ Brussels
Snacks - Edamame, Bananas, Oranges, Granola bars, Yogurt, & any fruits on sale.
The next 5k is just over a month away - March 10th. My company is doing fundraising for the cause. I'm thinking of contributing some vegan brownies to the bake sale, so people who are worried about their girlish figure have an option. The goal is to cover the costs of our entry fees plus some. We'll see how that goes. Most the people at our location are cheap-skates, but we'll see how it goes. Should be a good chance to not only network within my company, but a goal to shoot for.
I ran this morning with the Riley. Perfect temperature, but the 77% humidity out is a killer. I came back drenched with sweat. 13.45 min/mile ~ 2.75 miles in 37 minutes.
Also, either my heelstrikes were too hard, my shoes need to be retired from running, or the faster pace I went today was making a statement on my shins. Going to be hard to figure out which, but with trial and error I'll figure it out. I haven't have shin splints in months and the shoes I wore today I've had since October. Oh well, ice and then icy hot should take care of the pain.
Happy sparking.
