A bit scarce, perhaps

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

I won't have much time for Spark People over the next week or two and I worry that I will lose focus and motivation.

I've got tons of work to do at work, and a sick camper at home who is up all night and is spending his time moaning and groaning and shivering and shaking and lamenting. Here's hoping his medication really kicks in soon!

I almost called 911 at 5:15 AM. I just had to sick there and watch and evaluate and evaluate and watch. It turns out to have been for the best that I did not call them.

I feel as if I have gone from juggling three balls in the air--always uncomfortable when juggling one only is my ideal---to juggling six!

I'm going to try to get back on track soon and at least pop in once or twice a day here.

Feb. 1st: Things remain a bit daunting here.

I understand what it feels like to be so overwhelmed by what is going on at home, and not having time for yourself. I hope your dh will be better soon. Sending you and your family positive thoughts and prayers. Hang in there and do what you can to take care of yourself. I have been trying to do that, too. Ten minutes of day for fitness has been working for me when I've had a bad day, and I have started feeling better now that I have gotten a streak going for myself.

I'm sorry you have so much to juggle and that you have someone at home that is sick. Just don't forget to take care of you. Even 10 minutes a day is better than none. Perhaps you could go for a walk or go up and down some stairs or whatever. If you don't take care of you, you will not be able to take care of those around you if you get sick too.

Hang in there! It sounds like you have a lot on your plate and I wish you success on juggling it all. Try to take a minimum of 10 minutes per day to think and care for only you. Maybe you can start an exercise streak by taking a walking break at work or doing wall push ups once or twice a way or some other strength move such as jumping jacks or squats. emoticon I will be praying for you. I hope your sick one gets better soon! emoticon emoticon

You will not lose focus or motivation--because you know your way back. At most, you might lower the intensity of the focus and motivation a bit.

    Sending healthy vibes. :-)

Wow, sounds like you have tons on your plate! But it will make you feel so much better to set aside 10 minutes and do something for you....the sparkpeople vidoes are an easy way to work in some activity. Pick one the night before and get up 15 minutes early to do it! I know how hard it is to schedule this in but when I do, it makes me feel so much better, particulalry at the start of the day! Wish you luck!
