I woke up at my normal time of 4:30 AM. But instead of getting right out of bed, I decided to lay there and listen to the rainfall. emoticon

I must have dozed off because when I opened my eyes again it was 6 AM. Perfect. I still have a 1/2 hour to spark. emoticon

Yesterday hubby and I were tussling and I stubbed my previously broken toe into his big toe. OUCH! I heard it crack and prayed that I didn't break it again. I didn't make it to the gym in the morning. I sat on the couch with my foot elevated and iced. Caught up on some tv shows. And wasn't terribly disappointed with my current status. (tee hee)

I'm not a big tv watcher but I'm glad that our cable service has On Demand where I can catch up on shows that I want to watch when I'm bored. My two favorites are ABC's "Revenge" and "Once Upon A Time". Does anyone else watch them? Well, anyway my mom tells me about this show called "Mistresses" on BBC America. Oh. My. Goodness. emoticon I'm hooked! I sat for 3 hours straight and watched it.

That's not the only thing I accomplished yesterday. I ate well and I did manage to workout on my treadmill after dinner. Then Kina and I did the Wii Fit before bed. We had a blast.

Hubby came home at midnight bearing gifts of the calorie-laden kind. 2 huge chocolate bars. One was a Snickers. YUM. And the other was a Milky Way. He has been paying attention because I've switched to Milky Ways since "supposedly" they contain less fat. Well, the Snickers is going to the boys and my Milky Way will be set aside in case of an emergency.

Next, he wants me to taste a piece of sprite cake that a co-worker makes. I was supposed to only taste it, but I ate the entire slice. Which was more of a hunk of cake than a slice. Old habits die hard because I didn't even want it. emoticon It was kind of tasty though, I have to admit. Do I count the calories for today since it was after midnight. Does it even matter?

DONE: Ordered new real estate business cards.

    Oh, your husband and my husband would get along just fine. My husband brought home a box of cinnamon rolls and a bag of gumdrops - random, right? The first two thoughts when I saw the cinnamon rolls was "ugh" and "fatness". Those, I am mighty proud to say, I did not get into. GUmdrops, however, will henceforth be known as "dumbdrops" because I did get into those, and did track them, and, well, what a waste. I didn't even like them that much. I should have just poured granulated sugar down my throat. But, at least I stopped sooner than I would have in the past, it did not turn into a binge, and I am very thankful for that. I, too, wonder how you can stay up so late and get up so early. Are you one of those "I only need 4-5 hours" kind of people? I may sometimes only get 4-5 but I need and crave 8 hrs. Last night, sleep was hard to come by so I am hoping tonight I sleep like a lazy baby. emoticon

    So funny Hattie! Sounds like a fun day yesterday, overall. Still got in that treadmill and some Wii Fit!! Plus quality time with your niece to be proud of! :-) I'd try and concentrate on those parts of the day and let go of the food choices part. And today, just refocus on eating well. Side note: can't believe you are up at midnight and then at 4:30 am for the new day! How do you do that?!?! Do you fit in a nap later or do you just function well on less sleep? I get 7 hrs, at most (M-F) and I think I am one that needs a lot of sleep, at least 8 hrs per night. I assume that b/c most week nights it's so tough for me to stay up until even 10 pm! But I need those 1 1/2-2 hrs w/o kids desperately, so I really try and make it until 10 pm.
    Hey, have a great day! Today should be better for me, but tonight might get tougher again (internally). I think you know what I mean. But at least my day started good with my TM workout (even if I was lonely :-) and I am enjoying this short "'me" time before getting ready and I have a smile on my face.
