Intervals

Last night when I talked with my trainer, she said one of the best exercises for weight loss is cardio intervals. So, tonight I did a little over an hour interval cardio workout on the bike and elliptical.

I started work on our 2002 pictures. I began sorting through the box and organizing things. My goal is get this done by Jan 21. I have it spread over the dining room table and we will be having church here that day, so I want to have it done.

I also worked on quilting a quilt. This quilt top was given to me to quilt. It is a 9 patch double knit fabric. It is a good practice quilt. I usually quilt with pantographs, but I am doing free motion because of the stretchiness and unevenness. I am 3/4 done.

Daily Goals checked off:
2. Exercise
--120 min a day emoticon
--go to gym 4-5x's a week emoticon
--do a walk at home DVD 5x's a week emoticon not today
--walk on the treadmill at home at least 30 min 5x's a week emoticon
--do one SP exercise video or some strength training BEFORE doing SP emoticon

3. Water
--Drink 10-12 glasses a day (80-96 oz) 12 oz emoticon

4. Food
--stay within calorie range of 1400-1600 calories a day. emoticon
--eat lean protein, vegetables and fruits, limit carbs emoticon
--curb mindless snacking, drink water emoticon
--try a new recipe each month for a total of 12 recipes. emoticon made Berrybanana Bread and Peanut Butter Chocolate Banana Bread

    I do believe intervals (changing it up) is the most well-kept secret to weight loss. Our metabolism seems to go into low gear when we don't mix-it-up regularly.

    Glad you will be doing intervals; they can be exhausting, but such a good way to burn the calories! I was doing them on the elliptical yesterday too!!
