Day 1 of my 12 Week Challenge

Hello All!

I'm back...haven't been on Spark much lately and I need to change that! So last year was pretty good. I lived in California and lost about 40 pounds the first part of the year and kept it off...until I moved back home to WI in December that is. I met some really neat people at the gym out there and had a good thing going on!

In November, we found out we were relocating back to WI, which we both really wanted. We missed home so much and wanted to start our lives (buy a house, get a dog, have kids, etc.) So pretty much since we found that out and had to pack and do all the craziness with moving across country I kind of fell off the wagon. Then we got back home and had so much to do include finding a house! We are staying at my parents where there is bad food EVERYWHERE and I have been so BAD! BUT...good news is...we got an accepted offer on a house yesterday and we close the end of January...so I will be out of Temptation hell soon!

So anyways...today I am starting a stint of 12 weeks with a goal of losing about 2 lbs a week. I heard about the Fitbook (Can get at Target for $20). DOn't get me wrong..I love logging on Sparkpeople and such but sometimes I like to have it written down. It's a neat little handy book where you plan your week and recap at the end. You log food, exercise and such and set goals and rewards. It's also small enough to carry in you purse! So I thought I'd give it a try for 12 weeks for fun! Either way I was going to start back on track today regardless of how I was going to track.

I weighed in at 193.5 this morning (UGH). I then hooked up my hubby's Xbox and did Dance Central 2...so fun! It wasn't a very intense workout, but it was fun and I did it for like 1.5 hours! So far so good today...but I do have my sister, niece, and nephew coming over tonight for supper and my mom is picking up pizza...I told myself 2 pieces! And no dessert tonight because that will be enough calories in itself!

So...I'll write blogs here and there just to keep myself accountable and motivated. Feel free to comment with any suggestions!

    Congrats on the house and so good to see you back on Spark! I think any tools that help are great - I might have to look into that book you mentioned. Well Happy New Year and here's to making it count in 2012!

    Sounds like you have a good solid plan. Pizza is counted among my trigger foods emoticon I can't stop once I start so I admire your stated goal of two slices. I love dancing with our Just Dance and Michael Jackson wii games. It is my favorite workout!
