An ok day but it's better than a bad day

So many things annoyed me today and, what's most annoying, is that I let the little things get to me! Sssheeesh!
I have a job to do....a job that involves taking care of ME. What it entails is eating right and exercising. I began my day eating right..but then some things just IRKED me and I veered off... just a wee bit (so much junk food at work...ALWAYS...easy to veer off my path.... and I usually resist it as many people noticed at work and wondered WHY I was indulging). For the most part my eating was good but then I got home and got LAZY....no other excuse.....JUST LAZY! So I didn't exercise today...ready for my big, wimpy excuse?...... my legs are sore. Yeah, my muscles hurt...just a tad...but not that much. Besides, if I exercised and stretched a bit my muscles would feel great! I know I would feel better but I guess I just needed an excuse.
I must write down my goals for the new year...month by month, week by week goals...and post them where I can see them daily. Otherwise I'm not going to get my mojo back. And I still have more weight to lose which I know will make me feel better and more energized not to mention the health bennies of being in shape! So...... my to do list (which is pretty long lately with home repairs, basic everyday chores and, of course, WORK... I think I need to put MY NEEDS on the top of the daily chores so that I can be healthy and energized enough to perform the other tasks that are necessary. (See how I psyched myself into that one?) But it is the truth...if momma ain't feeling good then nothing gets done...lol

I'm going to have a great Thursday! No excuses. I'm not letting anything/anyone stop me from enjoying my day. And I'm looking forward to Saturday night because I'm planning to go dancing with my girls....which is always great fun and something I can look forward to.

BTW... I had a really great lunch today. I discovered 98% fat free Bologna...it's made from turkey. I made a 1/2 sammie with it and I had roasted some red peppers to put on it...no other condiments needed. A Bologna and roasted red pepper sandwich.....so yummy!!! My daughter took one to work too (and she doesn't eat turkey) but she thought it was great! Yes...I only eat 1/2 a sammie - 1 slice of double protein bread- for lunch. i do load up on the innards and I do snack all day long.. but only when/if I feel hungry (except for today when I just ate some junky, sugary stuff for the "I'm annoyed" fix). I keep lot's of wholesome treats in my desk at work just in case what I bring isn't enough (sometimes I'm rushed in the morning.....I wait till my stomach growls and I have that empty feeling in it)...THAT'S how I avoid snacking on the crap they bring into work! It's best to be prepared and it usually helps me avoid temptation...but not today! But, after all, "tomorrow is another day!" (My favorite quote...lol)
