Happy 2012...We get to start over!

It's a new year. We all get a do over...Yippee! Because I need one after the holidays. I wasn't a good girl at all. I (as always) am very optimistic about the upcoming year. I'm going to learn from the past and apply it to the present.
Lesson #1: I eat out of habit and boredom! At 4p everyday a bell goes off in my brain. The bell is a signal to eat, whether I'm hungry of not. In 2011, I acted like one of the plavlovian dogs. Ding...eat! Ding...eat! But this year, I'm looking for ways to combat that response.
Lesson #2: I need to track my food everyday, no days off. In 2011, I would only track my foos on the days I behaved myself. I didn't want to see the results on days I ate off plan. I also didn't really log on weekends. But this year, I'm going to log everyday.
Lesson #3: This is hard work. In 2011, I kept waiting for big results even though I didn't put in big effort. I put in minimal effort and got minimal results. This year, I am going to acknowledge the cause and effect rule to life.
Those are the lessons I'm starting with. I think that's a good start.
