Typically, I am not one for new year's resolutions. They almost always lead to disappointment. But this year, I am all about being healthy, and getting healthier than I've ever been before. With that in mind, I have a few things I'd like to accomplish in the coming year.
1. Lose 40 pounds this year.
If I accomplish this, I will weigh about 190 pounds by year's end, which is really good, and not too far from my goal.
2. Complete the 100 push ups challenge: twice.
Over at hundredpushups.com
, they have a program for completing 100 push ups at one time. I want to do this twice, because I can only really do 'girl' push ups right now, so the second round will be traditional push ups. After completing it the second time, I am hoping to do a set of a good number of push-ups each weekend to keep my strength up.
3. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day, three times a week.
Really not much explanation needed here. Gotta exercise if I want results. Luckily, I got Just Dance 3 for Christmas, so I will have fun while I exercise.
4. Drink at least 6 cups of water each day.
I have a lot of trouble getting my 8 cups a day, so I figure if I set a goal of just six, it should be more attainable, so I'll be more apt to keep at it.
And, I guess that about wraps up my list of resolutions for the year. Here's to making it the healthiest yet!
