Hanging in There!

Thank you so much for the concern about my mother. She made it through surgery OK, but the Dr. is very concerned about her recovery. She is going to be bedridden for at least 2 months- which is going to present a whole slew of other problems, particularly since she is 500 lbs. She has severe osteoperosis which means her rod in her leg and her pins in her ankle may not hold. She is still pretty confused, but I think that is a good thing for right now.... I don't think she would want to know all that is happening. Our biggest concern right now is- will her nursing home take her back? And if not, where will she go???? She is going to be a very difficult case to handle.
Well, I didn't exercise yesterday.... hung out at the hospital waiting for my Mom to get out of surgery. My dad, siblings, and aunts and uncles were waiting anxiously for updates. But this morning I went on a 4 mile power walk--- 54 minutes. And this evening I am heading to the gym to beat myself up on their cross trainer. My 13 yr old showed a tremendous act of love by leaving his IPOD here at home (he is away for the weekend with church youth group) so I could use it when I go to the gym. He downloaded Biggest Loser season 6 for me to watch. I haven't seen that season.... didn't start watching until season 8. So I feel I NEED to get to the gym to use it or he will be disappointed, lol.
Speaking of which.... any other good TV shows I can download to his IPOD that you would reccommend to keep my mind occupied and make the time go by faster when I workout? I like Law and Order type shows... suspense kind. I was thinking NCIS???? Grey's Anatomy???Never seen those before.
Funny thing happened on my power walk this morning. I am always SO paranoid.... my mind is always racing and I mentally prepare for any thing bad to happen. I walk (run) on an access road next to an Interstate. Very little traffic on it, but lots of cars nearby on the Interstate for "witnesses" (ROFL!) if anything should happen. Well, I saw 2 guys working in a field close to where I was going to pass, so my mind starts racing and I think about how I will be able to see their shadow if they should come up behind me.... so I am glancing out the corner of my eye looking (I am also wearing earbuds, so I can't hear anything) when all of a sudden I see a shadow RUNNING behind me and I about jump out of my skin..... Turns out it was another runner (he looked like a pro, wearing the tank top and short shorts, lol). I see him mouth "SORRY" as he waves and passes me. I was so embarrassed.... But what I thought was cool was he had a running bib pinned to the back of his little tank top that said "RUNNING WITH JESUS"..... I want one.....
