Holiday Trimmings Wk 1 Summary

Week 1 went good. I started off exercising every day, but by Sunday I just got too busy (I know... excuses, but I really couldn't fit it in). However, I stayed accountable with my eating, keeping it between 1200-1600 calories every day. That was a huge success for me. No binging. YAY! There were times throughout the week where I wanted to binge a little, but I kept thinking about this challenge and how I wanted to be successful and I did not binge.

So.... when I weighed at home first thing this morning in the buff I was 139.8 lbs. That is a 4 lb loss from last week. But for my official challenge weight I was 143 (with clothes).... which is a 3 lb loss. If I did my math right that is 4.38%. YAY!

I wanted to exercise sooooo bad today. Had my day planned all out. However, I received a phone call that my Mom was rushed to the ER. She fell off of her bed twice (for those that don't know, she is 70 yrs old and 500 lbs). Turns out she has 2 broken ankles and a broken femur. This was not fun for me to deal with.... I was there when they tried to doing x rays on her and heard her screaming in agony. Then, they had her so doped up on meds she was talking absolute nonsense to me.... which was hard to see, esp. when she told me to stay far away from her forever, :( Ugh.... more stress. This took up most of my afternoon. Now I have to sit and e-mail my brothers and sisters and my Aunts and Uncles.

The good news is, my boys are off on a mission trip this weekend and hubby is working so I will have the whole weekend to myself. We are talking from 1:00 pm Friday afternoon all the way thru to Sunday midnight. I have a huge to-do list I plan on accomplishing. Lots of housework that I have not had time to do. Plus exercise all weekend! Now checking up on my Mom....

Looking forward to knocking this week out of the park and upping my percentage of weight lost next week! Ugh! It's gonna be hard the closer we get to Christmas and the more time I have on my hands, but I am going to do it!

    Glad to hear you're doing well. You exercised most days, That's good! You DO need a day of rest!And by the sound of it you will be busy this weekend! While it may not seem like it to some, Vigorous house cleaning is Exercise! Crank up the Christmas tunes and get some dancing in, no one will be there to tell you you look silly!And I find I get more done with some peppy music going on n the background.     Wow! What a week you had! I think exercising every day is actually an unreasonable goal - your body gets stronger when you rest. Everything in moderation, right?

    So sorry to hear about your mom - that must be so difficult.

    In other news enjoy your weekend! I can't remember the last time I had one night alone nevermind a whole weekend - talk about jealous! Haha

    Good job on avoiding the binges. It's hard when you are used to it but the cravings slow down and it keeps getting easier all the time! GOOD JOB!!!
