Gathering & Selling Pecans, Earrings On Consignment, and My New Online Store!

I have REALLY been a no-show on SparkPeople for so long that I hardly know how to log on! ;-) I have really missed all of you--my SparkFriends!
My family has been busy gathering and selling pecans lately. It has been worth it, too. My husband has a customer who is a pecan grower and buyer. Because my husband has been very fair with this man, he gave us $2.00 a pound while he was giving others $1.50. And he weighed our pecans in our buckets, rather than putting then in the cloth bags that he usually uses. Wasn't that sweet of him? And a such blessing to us!
At the same time, I have been working on 2 other ventures.
I am making earrings to sell at one of our local high schools. The school has a store that is starting to branch out and I have been informed that some of my earrings in school colors will probably sell like hotcakes! It all started with the festival where I had a booth in the fall. A teacher from this school was there with some of her students. She showed her students a pair of my earrings that were close to the school's colors. One of the girls bought a pair, wore them to school the following Monday, and is getting LOTS of compliments and inquiries about them. SO I am getting earrings made, finding a way to display them, and making new cards just for the school. I hope to have my first batch ready by Tuesday. Any prayers on my behalf will be appreciated! The school's mascot is a viking, so I plan to call these earrings "Viking Girl". Instead of giving each a female name as I have done in the past, I will call them "Viking Girl 1", Viking Girl 2" etc. I hope this will appeal to high school girls! (It's been a while since I have been high school!)
And I have also been working on my online store, which is finally up and running! Right now I just have earrings on it, but eventually, I plan to post my small silk flower arrangements, my hand-made decorated grapevine wreaths, and my silk corsages and boutonnieres.
Thanks for taking the time to read this blog, my friends. I appreciate you!
I am looking forward to Christmas, and now I can start enjoying this very special and blessed season. Blessings to each of you, my sisters, my dear ones on SP!
