More Downs then Ups...

Thursday, December 01, 2011

The last few weeks have been rather depressing. My feet have gotten better, but the left heel still hurts if I walk much. I caught pink eye from my grandsons twice, once with me basically blind for a day & unable to read for several days. One of my sister-in-laws had a heart attack & stroke. After several weeks in a medically induced coma, it was announced that her brain waves indicated no one was home. The family voted to have her removed from life sustaining machinery & she died last Sunday.

My blood pressure has been up & I have been having chest pains. Yesterday at cardio I was hooked up to the monitor again & fed nitro. All & all, November has been a bad month. I am taking comfort in that at least I am not dead. Nor am I in major pain, just uncomfortable and worried.

My sister-in-laws services will be Saturday in the Twin Cities. Our family plans on going up on Friday, (tomorrow) and watching the Holidazzle parade. The cardio rehab people suggested that the cold might not be the best for me, especially as I am having issues. I am starting to wonder if the trip is worth it for me. I don;t want to be several hours away from home and my doctor if my heart starts acting up again.

Anyway, it is December 1 and December will go better - right???

Woah -- now that's a crappy month! December has to be better!

I really do hope that you have an easier time of it this month. Take care of yourself!

Kelly, I am sorry you have had so much going on. It is now December. May December be better. I am also so sorry to hear about your loss. Loss is never easy.

I can understand about your worry about going to the service. Do what you feel is best. The cold may not be the best. So come here. We are much warmer! But don't stay home and then feel you missed out by staying home. If you go, except for the holiday parade, you would be inside most of the time. Good luck.

Personally, I hate December. Both my parents died in December. So I will take lousy November and you will have a great December.
