My 5k is a week and a half away. I won't reach my goal of jogging the whole thing, but that's ok. I am still stuck on Week 6/8 and that 3 minute mark is just so difficult to get to.
I got there 2 times tonight, then my lungs decided they didn't like this cold air. They revolted and instantly started throwing gunk up into my sinuses to let me know they were unhappy. I dealt with it, but it made for a bunch of 15 second walks to try to clear my now congested face.
I took Riley with me, as he was WAY overdo for some running. He gets exercise in the form of walking and running around the grassy area in the back of our apartments, but for my high energy, half lab-half hound mix, it's not enough to keep him sane.
My new goal is to do 3 minute jog/ 2 minute walk intervals for the 5k. I'm still going to have fun, even though I didn't reach my way up high goal.
