What a Weekend!

Thanksgiving was uneventful (which is usually a good thing!) and not much to write about. So I won't...I am not a fan of poultry anyway.
Yesterday was Mr. B's very first agility trial. His very first run (a standard course) went pretty smoothly; not only did he qualify, he took third place! I did take pictures of him and his ribbon (a nice rosette!), but it didn't turn out. A friend also took video of his runs and I thought that would be fun to post...until I got seasick watching it. So...no evidence at this point; perhaps I'll try another picture with his ribbons. I had so much fun and learned so much...met new people that obsessed over their dogs as much as I do. And B, well, he was just in heaven. He was so excited and had a ton of fun. OH! And my running partner/instructor was able to make it there (even though it is over an hour away) BOTH days! For those of you that don't know, she has some pretty serious cancer and has been unable to get out much; in fact I have not physically seen her in over a month. She's feeling well enough that she might be able to make the next big run night, even though she will not be running. It really is difficult to see someone who was the picture of perfect health (serious runner/athlete) get to a point where it takes all her energy (literally) just to go from room to room. I was so glad to see her...and she even had tips for me. She joked that we haven't seen each other in over a month and that the first time we get back together, she was criticizing a run...but hey, I'll take it and learn; I'm not that thin skinned!
I was not a fan of so much travel on a holiday weekend and saw several accidents on the highway. I also saw lots of Christmas trees and a few deer coming home for the Holidays.
Came home after a long day/weekend and I took my poor, neglected dogs (Harley & Echo) for a run...a real run...on concrete! This is my first concrete run since dislocating my ankle. It is feeling pretty OK, right now. We'll see if there is any swelling or funky bruising tomorrow. FINGERS CROSSED!
Hope you all had a great weekend...and thanks for reading my ramble.
