My final 6th chemo treatment
Wednesday, November 23, 2011
I must start by saying thank you to all of you who have prayed for me and to my Jesus for getting me through my chemo treatments. Not one time was I sick or tired or felt nauseated my blood counts never went below normal and I lift my hands to my Jesus who have heard your prayers for me and answered them. Im overwhelmed by all of you for your love support and friendship towards me and I am here for any of you who need prayer for yourself or for your family.
I came upon this scripture yesterday and its a wonderful reminder to us all how faithful the Lord is to us and just how much he loves us.
Deuteronomy 31:8
"The Lord himself will go ahead of you. He will be with you. He will never leave you. He'll never desert you. So don't be afraid. Don't lose hope."
Whatever our plans are for today, we should always put Jesus first in everything because He will go with us always, in all our plans, in all our actions, in all our struggles. If whatever we plan is for HIS glory then we should not be weary because our God will never leave us nor forsake us.He loves us so much and He wants what’s best for us.Never cease to pray and ask for HIS guidance. He is a very loving GOD and His FAITHFULNESS is beyond measure do it and go for GOD’s glory.
What do you do when a child expresses that they are fearful of something? Do you tell them to be
courageous or to have confidence? Of course not; you cradle them in your arms, love on them, and provide comfort to them until the fear subsides. By doing this it builds courage and confidence in their lives. God loves us in the same way in order to build courage and confidence in our lives.
When you read the phrase be not dismayed in the Bible, it really means do not be discouraged. This is an indication that God is in the picture, he is in total control of what is happening, and becomes the reason for us to not be discouraged. An example of this is found in Deuteronomy 31:8 and..
Joshua 1:9 which says "Be strong and of good courage; do
not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." This is God commanding
Joshua to not be discouraged about going into Canaan, the land of their inheritance.
1st Chronicles 28:20 says
"Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God my God will be with
you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of
the LORD. This was David giving counseling to his son Solomon.
There are many more scriptures where it tells us not to be afraid or discouraged that is the beauty of our Lord taking us into his arms when we are going through the storms of life reassuring us and loving on us letting us know that he is near and he knows exactly what is going on.
Going through this has been a JOY and a blessing..Yes you heard me a JOY and why you may ask because God has used my cancer for his Glory. He has brought people to me who have never heard the gospel and who Jesus is and how much he loves them. What a JOY that is for me to talk about my Jesus to let them know that he is there for them when they are going through their storms of life, that there is someone for them to run to, to rely on and to know he is there for them as well.
When I found out about my cancer I naturally was in shock and in unbelief I cried for about 2 minutes and then I said to my doctor "Ok what do we do and when can we start"
It was then I believe the Holy Spirit came upon me and reminded me I am Gods child and there is nothing impossible for him including cancer. I knew right then and there that he was going to use it for his Glory and that made me feel better. I have learned in my walk with the Lord that no matter what this life may bring me no matter the storms and how big they get we have Jesus who never leaves us he his always standing right beside us. I dont know about you but that gives me peace and comfort.
Next week I start 3 treatments of radiation which will take me to Dec 16th and I will be done. My doctor tells me the next 3 years are crucial and she will have to monitor me closely to make sure the cancer does not return. I am confident that the Lord is in control and he has already healed my body. I am not afraid or anxious I am joyful in the Lord for all he has done for me.
Even if he decides to take me home I am so ready and so excited I cant wait to see him to be with him to know that my last breath here on earth I will be with my Jesus and thats where I long to be to see him face to face to actually put my arms around him and to say thank you for all he has done to actually tell him face to face how much I love him to bow down and kiss his feet and praise his name that where my treasure is its in him and him alone.
Heavnly Father
How I thank you for all you have done and what you are going to do in my life. Thank you for using my cancer for your Glory I pray you always find me praising your name and telling others about you. To be about kingdom business and not my own. To always give you Glory in all I do and say. Thank you for the promise of heaven to know that you have me in the palm of your hand that you never leave me or forsake me. Thank you for your word that I can always run to, to be lifted up and encouraged it brings comfort to my soul and for that Lord I thank you and sing praises to your name.
Lord I thank you for each and everyone who has prayed for me bring them closer to you and let them feel your presence and give them the joy you have given me bring them comfort when they need it and help them to always be about "Jesus First" In Jesus name I pray Amen.
