I got in the elevator to go home today, after a long day. There were about 5 people inside. One of them was a housekeeper who has been around a few years. English isn't her first language. Anyway, she made a big fuss over me, "you are so skinny!" "You are so skinny, especially your face." "Are you going to the gym? Are you taking pills?" I felt a bit self conscious, but also very pleased. I wonder if she thought I might be taking pills for thinness because she knows I'm from the pharmacy department. Anyway, I told her the name of the site, and that it's FREE. I also thanked her for her kindness before she got out. I had the opportunity to tell two others about SparkPeople today, as well. It's better than last week when someone asked me if I was wanting to lose weight or if I was sick!
I know what you all are thinking, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TAKING THE ELEVATOR?"

How wonderful to have people notice ! Congratulations! Isn't that a great feeling? No guilt! What were you thinking! No one said anything about the elevator/stairs. Enjoy the fruits of your labor! Chris 3298 days ago

Congratulations! What a great feeling to have people notice your accomplishments. I had one co-worker who commented on my weight loss and asked me if it was "intentional". I thought it strange at the time but not uncharacteristic for her either.

Boy, that's a cute picture of the, er, rodent, hugging his teddy bear:)
Don't you think it's funny when people ask if you're sick? (???) Would you ask someone that? "Hey, my friend, you're looking a little shabby today ... what's up?" Snort.
Anyway, it is really wonderful to have people noticing .... aaahh, satisfying as a smaller pair of jeans:)
Have a great weekend! Deirdre 3346 days ago
