November already?

Tuesday, November 01, 2011

Hard to believe it's November! Looking at my own Spark Page listing of goals achieved in 2010, i realized that 2011 hasn't been a great year for me as far as achieving new goals. I'm not going to get down myself for it because there have been so many other, more pressing things going on in my life . . . mainly the loss of my dad and trying to take care of him during his illness.

i did set one goal - to be able to do a standard pushup - but that was temporarily derailed when i pulled a calf muscle during Zumba several weeks ago and had to stay off my feet for a few days and get subs to teach my classes. Then, 3 weeks later when i thought i was healed up, I pulled the Achilles on the same leg. Haha.

But back to November . . . it's still not too late to squeeze in some attainable goals for ourselves, and this morning it occurred to me that i needed to think about what goals would be realistic for the remaining 2 months of 2011.

What are your goals?

Ive struggled this year with my weight loss but I continue to make small goals. "Never give up"
November - I am planning to start Yoga before work again. Since I stopped doing it I have been having trouble with back pain and Yoga helps to stop this problem. I also need a little more meditation time.
good luck with your goals and look after those muscles.

I'm sorry to hear you have been having some muscle problems. It seems like another year has flown by. One of my goals for the year was to give up Diet Coke, and I did that in August. My weight hasn't changed significantly this year, but I am working out more. So since we're getting into the holidays, I think my goal for the rest of the year is to hole steady, and not gain any weight.
