Week 6, day 2 - repeat and completed

So today I woke up after 10 hours of sleep. Yesterday I felt like I was coming down with a bug, stomach hurt, chills, etc. But thankfully this morning I was all rested and ready for my run.
I thought about just skipping the day 2 training and go on to the 25 minute run. But my head said that I am sure there is a reason they have us work up to these longer runs. So I did the 5 minute warm up walk, the 10 minute run the 3 minute walk and the 10 minute run with a 5 minute cool down. We went to a park that the dogs can run with me off leash (well, not exactly OK- but no people were there) - and it was so fun. My Emma ran beside me almost the whole time just stopping a little here and there to smell the sights. I think she is really beginning to understand that we are running mates. On leash it is a lot more difficult. She will cross in front of me, or pull me to the side, so I am not strong enough to try and keep myself from falling while dodging a little dog yet.
Saturday will be day 3 of week 6 which is a 25 minute nonstop run. Good thing that the challenge in PMPride this week is to work the knots out of our muscles. I have really needed that more than lifting weights this week.
I will do a strength training workout
tonight just to keep my weights at 8 lbs.
Don't want to slide backwards.
