Self support is MOJO.

Thursday, September 29, 2011

Warning, this blog is long. If you are at work, save this one for home. Life is what it is. Make it happen for yourself..

Don't take this one personal. It is- what it is, and we do what we do to get there. Even if it means, leaving someone behind. Sometimes, we must do us.... In order to get there. I don't blame anyone who has walked away or left sparks. They must have grown, learn something, or came to an understanding that. The support is lacking. But the support on sparks does not have to lack always. Sometimes, we need to stop, and start doing us.

There is nothing wrong with helping, giving support, and motivation, but when that motivation is lacking within yourself. You need to stop and find out why. What's wrong? Because we should be able to motivate someone on a journey like this. We all don't got that, and some of us are just selfish. We need support, but it's hard to get support when you don't support yourself to the fullest.

Lets start being supportive of ourselves a little more, and also support and motivate those who truly need us. We are 1 in this battle and sometimes we don't want to believe it, but it is the truth. We need to start with us, and then maybe, just maybe, we'll be able to motivate and support someone else to the fullest... But, how can we??? When we have all these issues coming in and out getting us down, and sending us to the side lines.

Think about it.. I mean think about it. What are you going to do to start motivating yourself? WHAT! What are you going to do?

I know what I can do. And I plan on doing it every day until I get there, and after I get there.. I plan on doing the same.. Doing me, and being full of support and love within myself. No matter what.

We all need to reach inside for some support too.
If you like it our not. That's where the mojo is..

I kept looking for support for someone to help me when I needed support after being everybody else's support and quickly realized the only ones I could rely on was me and my Saviour.
Like you said after hearing all of other people's negative words leaving their 'muddy tracks' in my mind, I too was my WORST enemy...this is why I LOVE Spark. I would express those negative 'hang-ups' and people would teach me how to talk myself positively....
You are SO right....motivation begins with oneself; deciding we are worth it.

Thank you for doing your blog - your blog kinda applies to not only to weight and food issues but to any and all other aspects of our lives.

I found out that through Sparks I have found laughter, concern, little virtual gifts and people basically having the same "stories" as mine. This has helped me a great deal.

Loved your blog this morning Lynn. So much truth and wisdom. Often times people want to water down the truth and that won't get the job done. Even at goal it requires that daily push from within to not fall back into old patterns and revisit pounds that are gone.

You will reach your goals. You will see the fruition of your hard work. emoticon

Amen girl...this was church for real, LOL!!! And you are so right, the only person who can do you...is YOU!!! People ask me all the time where I find motivation...short term it may be to run a race, compete, look cut in my bikini on vacation, haha, but long term it's because I want it for me!! I don't want to be on blood pressure medication or any medication for that matter. Not to mention how much better I feel when I workout and eat healthy. When I hear that alarm go off in the morning it's not like I'm super excited, haha, most times I want to go back to sleep....but I don't. I set 2 alarms for 4:00am, one more 4:15am and the last one for 4:20am...just to make sure I get my hiney out the bed, walk the dog and head to the gym. I've learned that the only stable and unconditional support I have is from ME!! I actually have a few people who did not talk to me while I was competing and still have not spoken to me since...pfft, that's their problem, not mine!

The day we all learn to stop making other people's judgements and thoughts of us rule our minds is the day we truly have the freedom and clarity of mind to work endlessly towards the goals which God has set forth for us in this life. You know they're already written and save for us....it's just for us put in the work to achieve them.

    Good luck!!
