My follow-up exam & more

I had my follow-up for my liver last month and results came back normal. She said I had been trying to fight my allergies for so long that my body thought it was sick, hence the high liver reading.
We also discussed my weight, and my lack of reduction in spite of my efforts (I brought her printouts of my food and exercise records on SP). I asked her what her thoughts were in regards to me having LapBand surgery, as I have been giving it some serious consideration lately. She stated that she'd like me to consider that as a last resort option and asked if I would be willing to try a diet medication first. I agreed to try it and see how it went (never tried weight-loss medication before). She assured me that it wouldn't leave me feeling jittery, and that it was just to help boost my own metabolism a bit and see if we can't kickstart my own body's fat burning ability. I have now been on the medication for over a month and have managed to take off almost 10lbs! I'm beginning to think she may be right, that LapBand is not going to be necessary. I just hope this keeps up. I see her again at the beginning of November.
On another note, we've had a family pet that's had some pretty severe troubles with her rear legs over the last few months. It finally reached the point of having to choose between having her put to sleep, or finding a viable alternative to help her get around. After much careful research we came upon just the thing.
She's like a puppy again! Once she got the hang of "driving" her wheelchair she has made it her mission to try and get me fit! LOL! We walk together 3 times a day usually (sometimes more) for around 15-30 minutes each, depending on her legs and energy. I couldn't find a better fitness partner. :-D
