Day 2 of Training

So today was easier. I had a bit of pain in my shins as they were sore from yesterday , but the 1 minute parts were way easier. I was able to breath a little bit more regularly and not as labored. There was one interval that I only did about 40 seconds of the minute. I'm not sure what my deal was. It was still 85 degrees when I did the workout, but it was 6pm and I wanted to get it done. I was pretty upset about my power steering in my car going out. Just ran out the frustration. Creepy thing happened to me on my run. A guy in a car crossing the street I was running on clapped as he passed me. He didn't say anything, just clapped.
One of the strange things I found was that with the setting sun in my eyes, my efforts were fleeting than what they were mid-day yesterday. Maybe doing this in the morning will be easier. I'm SO not a morning person, so that's going to be a challenge in itself. If that's not looking like an option, a visor or hat may need to be acquired.
Dylan cooked steaks and sauteed mushrooms and onions to top it off. I cooked Sesame Green beans on the side. Dinner was amazing. Dylan wanted something sweet, so I used the last two Granny Smiths to make an Apple Crisp. That makes the house smell just wonderful, and it was hard to put the leftovers away. I only made half a recipe because of that temptation. I'm really loving the healthy sort of living. Cooking with Dylan and having the right portions, but still having really good food.
I know I'm making the right changes to my life. I am happier with our home life as I get to run my stress out, and eat amazing food that doesn't make me feel sick. I don't feel like such a loser. I have a goal to run this 5k, and I'm working towards that. Now to find a job so money isn't so darn tight.
Tomorrow is my day off. My shins need the time to recoup. I have one more day of Week 1, then onto Week 2.. 2 minutes seems very daunting to me for some reason. ACK!
