Choices...I am making choices

I really want to do beter. I am making progress eating mindfully. But, I really want to eat more vegetables. I also want to kick up the general health of my diet.

I seem to be struggling. I just need to make a choice and set up the meal plans. So that is what I will do today. Tomorrow is shopping day. I need to figure out how to eat healthier.

Why was it easy the first time. I am losing so I know I can continue well but, somehow I am having a difficult time taking this to the next level.

    I like all recipes too -- but spark recipes have lots to offer

    If you are struggling, my mind goes to clearing the emotions so that it gets easy again, course, I'm becoming an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) freak, as I'm going to work on certification. Carol Solomon PhD has a site for weight stuff, and she sends regular emails. I'll spark mail you some samples. She is doing a teleseminar this month

    I think you are doing wonderfully.
    Sometimes just like with weight loss we hit a plateau. We take time to adjust, then we move forward.
    You are doing awesome by sticking with what you have already done and exploring what is next. Where were you a year ago? You have implemented many healthy changes into your life. You will continue to implement healthy changes. Be patient with yourself and just keep open to the new.
    I read about something back in July... thought I couldn't do it. Just figured out how I can do it. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time for stuff to process and implement.

    www.allrecipes.com is one of my best friends. When I am working hard at eating better and feeding the family better I like to see what is on sale produce wise at different stores (trying to be a smart shopper) then I go to allrecipes and do a search for the items I want to try and find a recipe I want to try. It is a bit time consuming sometimes, but I've come up with more new foods and new recipes that are definite keepers that way. Fir example back in winter I really wanted to use butternut squash, but had no clue what to do so I searched butternut squash and got TONS of healthy recipes I could try. Good luck with adding the vegis and finding healthier ways of eating. It is an adventure have fun!

    Good for you. It is great to set up your meal plans. Your family is back on a schedule so it may be easier for you to eat better. Having the family on a schedule will help you be more on target.

    I am with you on this one. It seems the first time, the speed and thrill of the loss keeps you powering forward, yet the subsequent times are not as easy. The fact that you are setting up a plan and going shopping is great. When I first started eating a lot more veggies, I found that having a tablespoon of light ranch dressing with them helped them go down easier. Now I can eat them easily by themselves. I can't get enough fruit so that is not an issue. Keep planning, keep blogging and keep powering through!
