another week that was a disaster...
i did alot of travelling last week and went to two weddings on consecutive weekends and my program suffered....
i have done no exercise for the week that passed and have actually been eating horribly also...no wonder the scale is moving in the wrong direction...why do i keep doing this to myself - you'd think that i like being fat and unhealthy the way i'm carrying on...as soon as i decide to get and stay on track - stuff happens and i cant stay the course! i'm fed up! i dont even know why i bother anymore if all i am good at is self sabotage and failure? i have been stuck at the same place for months now - and no wonder really: i have to make a decision to either quit trying to be something i'm not or find a way to make it work...honestly i thought i was doing well, but now i'm not so sure....

Echoing everyone else here: this happens to all of us. Might help to see it as a journey, as your life right now rather than something you can opt in and out - in the grand scheme of things, what's this? A stressful, harder period. You've still been learning, you've still been watching yourself/making progress.

everyone goes through this a few times doing the journey....

i would suggest stepping back, realize the alternative if you don't continue to fight for what you want. this will put everything in perspective, then you'll be able to get back in with a renewed mind and spirit.

it worked for me I hope it will work for you

ps... you're ALWAYS encouraging me and I thank you for it

    Hi there,
I know exactly what you mean. This week saw a birthday and a holiday, plus a husband who likes to bring bad food in the house, like pizza. While I did manage to lose the weight from vacation, I haven't seen the scale go down in about two months.
So today, I decided to re-commit. One week at a time, or even one day at a time. And go back to the small, realistic goals.

We can do it!. We have done it before. There will always be obstacles, so we just learn how to deal with them. One at a time.

I know that feeling ... for me I had set my goals so high that I was struggling to meet them, so I reset them to more resonable goals. I also SParK everyday, it helps reading blogs and reading how my SP friends are doing and that helps to keep me motivated to stay the course. Best of luck with your program.

Dont give up!! We've all been down this road. Maybe try mixing things up. Start a new routine..and start this month with setting mini goals...Try setting a goal for 1 week..or even 3 days..then keep moving forward. Everytime you want to fall off the wagon...hop on here and search for that courage to continue.

It so easy to fall back to the unhealthy ways...believe me..I know..I did it so many times..if it wasnt for spark..i'd be there now!

    Hope you stick with it!

Oh gosh, I know that feeling well. But giving up, is not the solution. It will just cause that circle to continue.

Really reach out on SPARK and explore! Is there a different way of eating that may help? Is there a team that will motivate?

Further, we all have those weekends...back to back weddings is really tough. I know you want to get to that point where you can participate in life events and your program does not suffer. I want that too...we will get there.

I say vote for the "trying to find a way to make this work". You can do it!!

    Hang in!

    Thanks for your honesty!
