Biting the Bullet After a Bit of a Setback

Okay, so I'm one of those people who weighs herself everyday. And I've zigzagged my way down quite a bit. A bit over 38 pounds to be exact. I don't count fluctuations, everyone goes up and down a bit if you weigh everyday, but as long as I was going in the right direction, it was success from day one. emoticon
That was until about 2 months ago. I "plateaued" last year. Of course, having guests, enjoying more cocktails and food just might have had something do do with that "plateau". But I managed to ride it out and even lost about 2 or 3 pounds since last summer. Then, 2 months ago, I don't know what happened. I had been sick, stopped exercising, and even stopped journaling my food all the time. BIG MISTAKE.
So this morning, I bit the bullet and reset my weight to today's weight, up about 6 1/2 pounds. Happily I've already lost one so it's reset JUST a bit lower than it would have been two days ago. While I was at it I reset my goal for 5 pounds less than it had been. emoticon
I'm hoping this is the "shot in the arm" I need. The motivation that I had for so long. I'm resolved to up my exercise, emoticon, journal EVERYTHING ( back to I can have anything and everything I want, but I MUST admit it), and getting back on track to lose that unhealthy weight, get stronger, and be happier.
Can I do it? You bet I can!!! emoticon emoticon

    emoticon I know you can, I know you can! I'm long overdue for a blog, and have given up tracking, but am happy that my weight is now centering a pound lower. I too reached my goal earlier but have since backslid a bit...keeping up the exercise does make a difference and although I'm not tracking I'm making a determined effort to keep eating more veggies and fruits rather than the easy carbolicious things that so readily come to hand...
    I've also had a lot of work lately and that always makes me really want to snack! emoticon
    I want a WE CAN DO IT icon...

    So true. So let's step up our exercise, ok? I'm going to have an aerobics session tonight to try to crank up my metabolism. Hey, it can't hurt, right? emoticon

    I am going through a similar situation this summer. I need to get back to more exercise and less mid afternoon snacking. The best result would be to substitute exercise for eating!
