Hi SP Friends,
I have been MIA because I'm super busy!! I'm teaching 3 different classes this year which means lesson plans and grading x3 and it's also near to football season so I'm spending A LOT more time with my hubby before I lose him to the flat screen TV for a few months, lol.
I'm still hanging in there, working out, eating well and enjoying my healthy lifestyle. I'm still doing my morning workouts and get my cardio in during the evenings on most days. I don't have as much cardio now so I don't have to go back to the gym on most evenings. Although with my Jamaica vacation coming up in November I may add in some extra cardio here and there just to make sure I'm banging on our trip, lol.
Now that I've been eating more food I've been able to lift a lot heavier which is pretty sweet. I'm now up to 30lb DB on my incline chest press, added 50lbs onto my leg press and use 20lb DB for my seated bicep curls. All of this achieved in the last month since I competed....ridiculous! More food = more strength FOR SURE!! Muscle is the GREATEST thing ever and I definitely want to gain more of it because I'm able to eat more food and not gain 1 ounce, lol.
Here are some recent pics...messing around before we went to a pool party...and I entered a push-up contest and beat 5 men, LOL!! One guy beat me but he was pretty ripped, so I came in 2nd...not bad huh, hahahaha!!

And this is one my FAV lunches...Jamaican Rice and Peas (my clean, healthy version), stewed chicken, broccoli and green beans...YUMMY!!!

I'm not as lean or small as when I competed and that' still an adjustment but I feel absolutely AWESOME!! I know my muscles are getting bigger and bigger even though they are now covered by a layer of fat, lol. My goal right now is to eat clean and lift HEAVY. I can't wait to see what my body is going to look like next competition season!
