Worky Work Busy Bee

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

I have been super busy for the past couple months. Sadly it has nothing to do with eating healthy and excericising, but exciting none the less.

I decided that I what I would really like to do for work is become a photographer. I absolutely love taking pictures! People tell me all the time that I take great pictures, but I never really thought of it as something I could do professionally, at least not without a lot of training and practice. I have been taking classes and reading books for the past year and a half.

Then, one of my friends from high school and her husband started their own photography company. Neither one of them have any experience. She is a lawyer and he works at a factory. Their photographer for their wedding was a husband and wife and they loved the idea of the husband and wife working together. So they started a company - no training, no classes, nothing...

And that got me thinking... what was I waiting for??? And then I realized that I was just afraid of trying something new and failing. So I jumped headfirst into it and that is how CMR Imagery came to be.

So, for the past couple months, I have spent my days working my job and my nights and weekends working on photography. I created a Facebook Page, a website and have done 10 or so photo sessions. I have my first paying customer this weekend - an engagement session - and I am super excited!

I have a 5 year goal of having my own studio and doing photography full time.

So that is what I have been up to! Now I just need to find a way to fit eating healthy and working out back into my day and we will be all set!
