Week 2 of VLCD, 7 lbs lost

Ok, so this is week 2 of my very low calorie diet. I haven't received my HCG drops. I have been eating around 500 calories per day and last week I walked / strolled in the neighborhood twice. I lost 7 lbs last week! I probably would have done better but I ate at a Brazilian steakhouse on Saturday night. I limited myself to only two cheese rolls, broccoli, cucumber and meet. I definitely ate more than 500I calories but was proud that I kept myself away from the cheese rolls, that I would normally eat a dozen of. I have been eating small meals of grilled chicken and a green veggie through the week. I take a haggis of cut raw veggies with me and eat those throughout the day. I have also been drinking EAS AdvantEdge protein shakes that are only 110 calories and 17 grams of protein. My goal for this week is to increase my water intake to at least 8 glasses per day. I have not felt hungry by the way, probably due to spacing out my meals and snacks. emoticon

    The HCG diet is NOT safe!

    Someone on Spark People nearly DIED on account of that starvation diet recently.

    ALL the Spark Coaches are warning people NOT to do it!

    HCG has been SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN to have NO effect on weight loss.

    You NEED healthy fats in your diet! When you cut out all the fat from the diet, you are endangering your health.

    The only reason people on HCG lose weight is they are only eating 500 calories a day AND TAKING A TREMENDOUS RISK WITH THEIR HEALTH!!!


    R>Please get off the HCG diet before you get sick like so many people I know that tried it. Fast weight loss is NOT worth the risk of extreme diets like HCG, because you will most likely gain it all back like everyone else I know that did it.

    HCG is no better and any other extreme fad diet you've tried. And it is far worse than most because of the extremely low calories and the fake science that makes people believe it is safe when it clearly is DANGEROUS!

    How long are you on such a low calorie diet? 500 seems awfully low to me...difficult to maintain, and I wonder about the nutrition. Is this a "cleansing" phase of a lifestyle change? I just want to make sure that you can phase into a long-term, sustainable program.
