Into Week 2 of Isagenix...

Monday, August 22, 2011

I am into week two of my 30-day Isagenix nutritional cleansing program and am loving it. I posted results taken after one full week and I am happy to say I am down 6.2lbs and 11.5inches. Really not a bad start to a program at all. I am having two shakes daily, one clean meal and Isagenix snacks through the day and tonnes of water. Initially I suffered a headache which I deem related to my coffee habit, which wasn't big, but it was a habit nevetheless. After day three, the headache was gone. I have been back on the Couch to 5K running program combined with Jillian's 30-day Shred. I do that 50 minute workout combination three times a week. I am sleeping well, energetic and happy. Look forward to seeing what the second week shall hold.

I walked a 15km charity event with my 72 year old mother on the weekend. This was A MidSummer Night's Run/Walk for SickKids Hospital - the juvenile rheumatoid arthritis research division, which my 8 year old niece, Abby suffers from. I am so proud of my mom, who was untrained and daunted going into the race -- but I knew she could do it. She doubted herself, but no more. She proved she has more in her than she gave herself credit for. I hope that inspires her to new challenges in the future!

Awesome! I'm glad you and your mother got to participate in the walk together. It is always special to do something like that with your mom. I'm sorry to hear about your niece having juvie RA. I have the adult version. I don't know if I could have handled it when I was younger. Ah, well. I'm glad there are much better treatments now than there used to be.
