48 Days to Speed: Day 15 - Endurance Spinning

I wish I would have kept up with the first 14 days with my running coach like this, but I just thought of it today! So, I'll do a quick, backwards recap at the end.

So, today's workout was 45 minutes of endurance spinning. I used to do spinning classes about 8 years ago and I did a spin class last week. But, ALL of my spinning has been interval work! It has LOTS of variety & jumps & you get to change it up every song. Well, NOT SO with an endurance ride!!! You just pedal fairly hard and steady! It's TOUGH!!! And, not near as fun. But, it's EXACTLY what I needed!

Tomorrow: I have a TOUGH 4 mile interval run on the treadmill. In fact, I'm not sure I can hit the speeds my coach wants me to! (though I've felt that way before and did it) And, I have an hour of pilates reformer with my coach! Should be interesting!

Day 15 - SPIN - 45 min endurance
Day 14 - RUN - hill workout (3 miles)
Day 13 - REST
Day 12 - BIKE - 12 miles (w/intervals)
Day 11 - RUN - 5 miles
Day 10 - REST
Day 9 - RUN - intervals (3 miles)
Day 8 - XTRN - zumba
Day 7 - RUN - 5 miles
Day 6 - REST from fall
Day 5 - REST from fall
Day 4 - REST from fall
Day 3 - RUN - speed run (4x400) (3.5 miles) & group bike ride...FALL!!
Day 2 - SPIN - interval spin class
Day 1 - RUN - treadmill test & interval speedwork

    ENDURANCE Spinning!!! I don't know if I could do that! I LOVE my spin classes, love the intervals, jumps, sprints, all of it. I like to think I'm in decent "spinning shape", but I bet endurance spinning would be a very humbling experience for me! You are AWESOME for being able to do that!!
    Just you wait, you'll hit those speeds your coach wants you to hit, and you'll totally surprise yourself! YOU CAN DO IT!

    You are ROCKING it!!

    Wow! That class sounds hard, but I think I would like it, as I don't really like the sprints/jumps, but quite enjoy the climbs cause they make me feel so strong!

    I think you can TOTALLY hit the speeds prescribed by your coach! You can do ANYTHING you set your mind to! Let us know how it goes!!
