Day 44 - 54 Gearing up for the new school year

Monday, August 08, 2011

Not just for the kids, either. For me, too. I am finally going back for my MBA. A little stress over tuition. A lot of stress of the course load. Some stress over the youngest one entering middle school and starting his school soccer career (he's played on rec teams for three years). Stress over the oldest one's beginning her junior year and really needing to buckle down. Then stress over dealing with the overreactive, easily stressed, frequently freaked hubby and the upcoming schedule for which I will need help.

This weekend, I'm going to have to sit down and plan out a realistic and reasonable schedule for activities, meals, exercise, and family life. I'm really good at planning schedules, but horrible at sticking to them for longer than a few days.

But, as is my wont, I will bully through and get this done. Everyone will still be alive. Everyone will be loved. Things will get done. And maybe if I'm super busy, I won't be tempted into boredom eating.

I admire you for returning to school! don't do the stress thing... or wait, go ahead and plan your stress, write down what you want to get stressed about, put off stressing for 9 days, then read what you wrote down and if you still want to get stressed about it go for it for 9 minutes. Just remember that stress causes wrinkles... you don't want those do you?

Love your ability to plan, enlist the family in your plan and let them be a part of the planning and carry through. Surely there is one in your family that can inspire follow-through. I had one in mine until she left home, now I have to do it myself again! I'm not the best person to follow through! I still have hopes for improvement!

You have all my best wishes for success... with your attitude, you will make it to the other side totally successful!!!
