Hope your feeling better when you read this. I hope you can get stabilized and stay the same weight going into Phase 4 because it is even tougher than Phase 3 as you know that is when you can slowly add back in starch and sugar. I have to be very careful still and watch what I eat every day. That is why they say Phase 4 if forever. A change in lifestyle and not a diet. Sounds like you had a fun weekend. Once again, you're cracking me up! Had that . . . had that . . . had that . . . . I understand, and I've been there. It is good that you have a little wiggle room. As for P4, yes the steak day works as well, but it's really important to be careful that you've changed your habits and truly use it as emergency. If you just build it in . . . it's all too easy to go right back to eating the way you did before and before you know it . . . you're 4 pounds away . . . 6 pounds away . . . and can't seem to get it back down again. I did that and thought . . .o.k. I'll do 3 steak days in a row . . . or a couple of steak days a week . . . sweet! The morning that you weigh in . . . if you're 2 over . . . that day needs to be the steak day . . . but if you're not careful you can gain 4-5 pounds overnight . . . and then you're looking at 2 steak days . . . which doesn't work as well . . . ( it still works some . . . but not as much) . . . then you're hoping for multiple steak days . . . then you find yourself just doing another round. (which is what brought me into R4 after making goal in R3.) Just a word of caution. Also remember your hypothalamus has "set" there to maintain there. After R2 I thought I'd just drop the rest off from diet and exercise, but found dropping below that 2 pounds onto 3-4 below my LIW I started to get sick/weak feeling and couldn't hang . . . I was told if I was wanting to CONTINUE to drop I needed to go for another round. Which is why I did Round 3 to get to my goal vs. close and trying to do the rest "myself". I don't know if that's making any sense. Basically, yes you can "steak day" it and it works. It works BEST IMMEDIATELY after the 2 pound gain though . . . and be careful not to just go back to your previous habits or you will gain and go over it and then be back in the same boat. Most churches do this, my church is 7th day adventist. They are vegetarians and vegans. I have allergies to vegatarian protein- so take my own food.. I don't care if I get grilled for not taking part- I ask them do they reminder the last time I needed a doctor because of too much tomatoes, onions and spicey food.. People leave me alone, it is a party pooper to have a ambulance turn up to church lol.. 3025 days ago
