A Time of Trials

I have had a week of challenges. My left knee is hurting and I can't seem to get any relief. I got to a point this weekend that I couldn't even take a step. This makes me so frustrated. I reverted back to my old habits of "dealing" with the physical stress. I started eating the wrong foods and giving up on any activities. Today I had to evaluate what my long term goals were and to try and get refocused on the purpose of this journey. So I am turning to my new outlet and decided to blog.

I am finding it harder to stay strong. I feel like I am ready to break anytime. I get such a release when I workout that going through this time of physical pain is a real challenge.

I tried to workout here at home with what I could. I did some but it doesn't feel like enough.

    I see that you found me somehow, well this blog could have been written by me over the past few days. loll actually it was only I have had my L knee scoped and need my R attended to. lol
    Hope your legs feel better and I too sucumbed to the pain and am back on track this am.

    Yeah, something is better than nothing and that's what I have to tell myself too. I had did one of those workout dvds and killed my legs to where it hurt to walk! (this was day one of that video!!! I was so mad!) I couldn't let that get me down though. That was when I first decided to do something about my weight -first being the first of this last time, it's been a life long of firsts. Anyways, I had to take time to rest and then get back to trying to lose weight. I obviously didn't kill myself over that video again. I figured its too much for how far I have let myself lapse. So I walk instead. I know how discouraging it is when your body won't let you do what you want it to do. I hope you keep with your goals and find new ways to exercise until the problem is resolved. I encourage you to not give in to the comfort foods to cope with it though. It would be much better to blog it out than ignore the issue. You can do if you keep your focus!! Keep up with the little bit until it turns into the acceptable amount of exercise for you.

    Did you try the resistance band exercise today? Maybe that would be good..?

    I have a hard time with that too. For me it always seems like I am the most motivated when I cant work out and the least motivated when it is the perfect opprotunity. I just have to remind myslf that even though it doesn't feel like alot. Something is better than nothing.
