    Lisa,

You are handling this very well. Proud of you. I, for one, have been on the floor after noticing a gain. However, I will tell you that 1 pound is not that hard to correct. I did the same and just monitored what I ate the next day and the weight went back down to my norm.

Let me know how your steak day turns out. I may have to resort to that. My friend introduced me to Tostito's Artisan Blend - Roasted Garlic & Black Bean Flavor . . . They have no sugar, but I'm sure the starch is a danger zone and not allowed, but they were SO DELICIOUS! I went and bought my own bag.

Hey Lisa, remember I told you about being in this situation with food the forbidden zone with all the new foods available now for you to enjoy!!!
You will do fine just remember there is always tomorrow to try something new. Try to only add one new food at a time and see how your body reacts after two days before adding a new food.

On the cauliflower that is very high in carbs even with the fiber taken off to make it net carbs. That could be the problem, to many carbs. You should go back and look at he net carbs for the whole day and see where you wound up for the day.

I never had to do a steak day but in the information it says the biggest and most fatty steak you can find. I would think anywhere between 12 to 16 ounces would be the right amount. You eat it at six in the evening and have nothing all day until then. You can have a tomato or an apple with the steak.
Best wishes on the weigh in tomorrow. Sandy

Oh and thank you for pulling the cauliflower info for me! I need to recalculate my nutritional tracker for today.

Hey Chris! Thanks - see thats the issue - I don't really have an allotted calorie count to stick to in this phase. My little booklet says 1500-2000 but if I do the calculator thats usually around with my weight, height, and just moderate activity levels it says 2377. So yeah...thats why I'm sort of kind of all over the place just trying to find out what works and what doesn't. I still want the energy to work out as much as I do, eat and not gain weight.

Hi Lisa, you are looking great! I went to my-calorie-counter.com and pulled the nutri info on Cauliflower, Raw and they are as follows:

    1 large head (6-7"), 210 cal, 1g fat, 252mg sodium, 45g carb, 21g fiber, 20g sugar, 17g protein

    1 medium head (5-6"), 144 cal, 1g fat, 172mg sodium, 30g carb, 14g fiber, 14g sugar, 11g protein

    1 small head (4"), 66 cal, 0g fat, 80mg sodium, 14g carb, 7g fiber, 6g sugar, 5g protein

Hope that helps! I have done Atkins before and made the mashed cauliflower with reduced fat cream cheese, parmesan cheese and butter. Yum-O! I'm with you, it's the only way I will eat cauliflower. I hate cooking it though, it stinks up the entire kitchen. I think you will do just fine as long as you are as strict to keeping within your allotted calorie count during this phase. Keep up the good work!

emoticon on completing Phase 2 by the way! Awesome job!!
