So here's my dilemna...

It gets hot here in the summer. So hot and humid that all you want is to be in a controlled climate. If I'm going to workout outside, which I love, then I have to do it early.
The problem is, I have a HARD time getting up in the morning. I lay there and think of all the reasons I don't want to workout, and sometimes I talk myself out of it! Usually if that happens, by afternoon I will talk myself into going upstairs to use the treasdmill or stationary bike. (which I don't love)
So I was reading an article (about running I think), that was dealing with motivation. It suggested that if you have a difficult time getting going in the morning, you should make it easy for yourself. Lay out your clothes, untie your laces, basically make it a no brainer to get moving.
Last night that's what I did. Got everything ready to go. Told myself exactly what was going to happen, no excuses, I was riding. This morning I didn't give myself time to think...I just did! And it worked! Got into my clothes and gear quick and out the door by about 8:10! Not bad for me.
How are you guys staying motivated in this heat?
