Week One

So, I've been doing really great my first week. This is the best I've ever done on trying to lose weight. But I am stuck at 174 for some reason. I am on a healthy diet. I do Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, Gold Gym Bikini Boot Camp, and Shape Pilates everyday. Also I started the C35K today. I've really noticed a difference in my endurance already. So hopefully with all of that I will finally start to lose weight instead of stay the same weight. An exciting thing about this week though is I've started loving my body again. I'm nowhere near where I want to be. But I don't look too bad. As far as my goals go, I will admit that I slacked a lot this week. I know that I didn't drink 8 glasses of water everyday. It is really a struggle for me to drink that much water. I also didn't read as much as I would have liked. And I didn't track my eating and exercising as much as I should have. But my husband, son, and I have started taking walks together as much as possible. Our dog has enjoyed those walks too. Unfortunately though, our dog (Panda Bear) got fleas this week, too. The bug exterminators are coming tomorrow, so hopefully that will get rid of all the little bugs. They've really been stressing me out. I've also been stressed out about starting school in August. I scheduled all my classes this week. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. Money has also been stressful for me. I sort of have champagne taste on a beer budget. Ha. But we always find a way to make things work. Anyway, if anyone has any tips, I would really appreciate them. I need all the help I can get. :)

    Weight loss will happen sometimes not when you expect this to happen. Be patient and it will happen, you also might check and make sure you are not doing to much.

    As you work out you do build muscle, and that does weigh more than fat. It is possible the lack of loss is due to muscle gain - with is a good thing.

    Weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. So while it is great that you are getting so much activity, you really need to concentrate on what you're eating. Track everything you put into your mouth here on Spark. Make sure you're eating enough because you are exercising a lot.

    If you are stressed, try yoga - it is a wonder drug!

    Drink that water - it pays off -- just remember it's helping to flush out the fat! That thought is enough for me...and it's flushed out almost 40 pounds since Christmas so I'm proof it works!
