Lawd have mercy!

I started working out again this past Sunday. Sunday was a light day. I did 2 of my Hip Hop Abs videos at home. But on Monday, I made it back to the YMCA and Oh, my body hates me right now. I did 30 mins on the elliptical (my fav) and 30 mins on weights. My body was screaming, and I was sooo sore the next morning that I couldn't work out Tuesday. Today, I kept it kinda simple and walked for an hour at our local greenway. The last 30 mins were horrible. My back and pelvic bones hurt so badly. I thought I was going to have to call someone to come and get me off that trail! A close friend of mine says I am doing too much too soon because the baby is only 4 weeks old. I feel like I need to be doing something, anything physically related. I have the urge to move, and I want to take advantage of it while I can. I pray I can stay motivated on this journey because I get bored to fast when it comes to physical fitness.

    Congrats on the Baby!

    I think your doing too much to soon, with 5kids under my belt all by c-section I have a little experience lol.
    You don't want to mess your body up so I would suggest walking no more than a hr for the next month, NO weights. Maybe even focus more on what your eating because you can really drop pds after giving birth.

    ps...a compressor tank top / belt would help alot with your back and stomach pains

    WOW! You are on it! I think you should definitely be physical, but take it easy...you don't want to damage your body and not be able to do anything. Even a person who hasn't just had a baby a month ago needs to incorporate rest in their workout plans too.
    Walking is what I choose when I'm not feeling well and that's what I suggest - if you can't/don't want to go outside and walk, do a walking DVD or online workout (exercisetv.com has a couple for free).
