No alcohol for a week!

So I am going to do an experiment and try to not drink ANY alcohol for one week. I have been really good about controlling how much I have been drinking and have not been drunk or blacked out in months. However, I still drink a few beers here and there. I have noticed my stomach to be cramping a lot, plus there is still the fact my weight is very high. For one week, I am going to try to not drink anything and see if I notice a difference in how I feel or look. I am hoping I may even lose a pound.

Searching for a house has been very stressful and I don't want to turn to alcohol for that. I keep having dreams about the house hunt. The house I want is being inspected on friday so hoepfully that goes well.

Here is to Day 1!

    You CAN do this - you just need to have faith in yourself. You are a lot stronger than you think.

    Hopefully you have a counselor to help you quit the drinking. I have mentioned this before, but my hubby is an alcoholic. There have been periods where his drinking wasn't TOO bad, BUT it always slipped backward again - to a really HUGE amount - to the point he lost his licence twice, and lost his job, too because of drinking. It cost A LOT of money in fines, that we never had. It meant that the kids and I went without many essential things, as well as living with his abusive behavior when he was drinking. He never used to drink at work - he is 58 and it was only when he got to his late 40's that THAT surfaced. The majority of alcoholics really can't stay with just the occasional social drink. It is best left alone because it WILL creep back up to bite you in the bum.

    alcohol really messes with your medications. I quit drinking 3 years ago and it was my last hospitalization. You can do anything you put your mind to. Good luck.

    Good idea, and you'll have a few extra calories for some healthy foods. You go girl. Hope the inspection on the house goes well.

    I'm not at drinker at all.

    I love green teas and flavored water but watch out fot the sugar content.

    LAY DOWN WHEN YOU GET HOME AT NIGHT AND PUT YOUR FEET UP INSTEAD OF RUNNIING CONSTANTLY..YOU WILL FEEL BETTER FOR TAKING CARE OF THOSE NEEDS AND IT WILL HELP HELP WITH THE ALCOHOL
