Busy busy

I have so much to do and not enough time to do it in. I worked out at the gym on Tuesday. I did what Spectrum calls body pump for an hour. I used low weights but I completed the whole hour and did all the exercises. Then went right into the pool for an hour of water aerobics. Needless to say on Wednesday I could barely walk. I had a little tenderness in the upper body but the front thighs is where it really hurt. I am still in pain and haven't really done any exercise except work around the house and of course my garden or everything will die. I am going to aerobics tomorrow morning. The doctor said lay off the body pump until next week. He suggested I no do it all but I want to build the muscles. I will have to do some deep thinking about this one. I am 69 years old now. I love my life.

    I agree.... exercise is super important, but be sure to be KIND to your body, too! Too much can really be too much! Great dedication, though!

    Be careful! You don't want to push to hard. Maybe there is something else you can do to build muscle that won't hurt so bad. There's no point in working out if it makes you so sore you can't work out for days afterwards or injure yourself! Maybe try BodyPump again and do modified moves! Good Luck!

    If you are that sore, you might want to find a slightly easier version of body pump and build up to it. Although building muscles is great, working your muscles too hard can weaken them and cause injury so be careful.
