Getting Back In the Groove

Sunday, July 03, 2011

I've come to learn just how very much I depend on the internet (and especially SP) to keep me on track and I have been so out of the groove lately! Here's the scoop...

My internet provider has had serious issues over the past month and there were times that I couldn't get online for DAYS! I started out getting online when I could, but then I finally just got frustrated and quit trying at all.

No internet means not knowing whether or not I'm staying in my nutrition ranges. Even if I track my food manually, there are many things I just don't know the nutritional value of without being able to get online and find it....and the support and motivation, from both the articles and info from SP and the friends and fellow Sparkers I meet along this journey...I sincerely thank the good Lord above for SparkPeople and I'm so lost when I don't have access!

I do believe that they finally got it fixed (at least until the next storm rolls through! LoL). It's taken me a little bit to get past being overwhelmed by all that I've missed and how out of touch I'd been, but I'm ready to get back into the groove!

In my absence I did get down to 332 lbs, but I've been stuck there for a couple of weeks now and I'm so ready to get over the 330 hump and into the 320's!!!

And to get some "over the hump" momentum going, today I tried out a free sample video online from Leslie Sansone ( www.walkathome.com/try-w
alk-at-home/
). I did the beginner video, "1-Mile Express" and boy did it get my heart rate up and my blood a pumpin! My new plan is to alternate days between this workout and my MagneTrainer (pedal exerciser).

Keep it up. I've been stuck in the 220s so I know what you mean. It gets a bit frustrating. I'm trying to change up my exercises so I can break through it. Sounds like you have a good attitude and will do just fine. Glad you got back on, it really is frustrating when the internet doesn't work. I've been there.

Congrats on getting back on track. I am a HUGE Leslie Sansone fan. I started with one mile and now I do the 5 miles daily, but sometimes I push myself and do more. Stick with it and you will work up to more miles. You did the most important thing, which is move your body. Amazing! You are on your way! I believe in you! Please add me as a spark friend if you have room for one more. Would love to cheer each other on as we continue on our weight loss journeys.
