Still No Excuses!

Saturday, July 02, 2011

Blogging regularly is my weakness, trying to find the time is a challenge! June was so hectic in general as hubby had a surgery and a few procedures. Just to update you on him...

He is mostly stable but having some complications that we are working through. Our truck broke down a week and a half ago, still not fixed. Parts have been ordered so maybe have it in 2 weeks. That is a challenge in itself as it has the wheelchair lift attached to it so we are doing everything the old fashioned way having to leave his nice power wheelchair at home.

I still won't accept any excuses! The power was off 6 hours yesterday all over town but managed to get my full workout in!

Sometimes my body tries to talk back....even whine at me! Can you believe that? Those are the days I work out extra long to teach it a lesson on talking back. Works every time :) My Brain likes to tell me I deserve a day off ....Who put the brain in charge anyway? What a princess attitude! Then there is my stomach....Greedy thing, always wanting more but I let it know who is the boss here too! Dealing with my body, my brain, my stomach, etc is like taking care of a bunch of spoiled kids! They need discipline and I am all about giving it to them, they have had it to easy long enough.

So Still never missed a day yet, feeing so much better and pushing forward with new challenges.

God Bless You All and I will do my best to let you know the progress of my spoiled bunch

You did it again, inspired me when I was using the holiday as an excuse to eat bad things. Think I still have a diet mentality. But I have noticed that when I work out it is easier to control my eating. emoticon

Prayers that your vehicle is fixed sooner than they said.

Thanks for the good laughs you gave me. And good job dealing with difficult issues.

I need to do better with that myself.

I really laughed at your "brat" reference. I always say that I have an 8 year old child in me who has never grown up, (that is when I first became aware that there was such a thing as a "weight problem" thanks to one of my friend's mothers, and that I might have one)

I always try to be as kind to her as I can because I know that her "brattiness" is what causes me to act up!

She has been totally out of control for awhile now, but I am working on getting her back on board!

God Bless, and have a great day!

Interesting to say the least and as the other comments have posted my favorite part as well was comparing your body anatomy to spoiled kids. I bet all of us can relate to this. You stay strong as you are right now and in the long run you will be a butterfly. emoticon Donna

I pray your DH will recover quickly from his surgery. Sorry to learn that you vehicle is out of commission. My mom was in a wheelchair for 2.5 years and I was very involved in her care and understand the extra challenges you are facing right now.

Your comparing your brain and stomach to undisciplined kids cracked me up. I thought, yes, right on! That's exactly how it goes. And I think regarding myself, whose the parent here anyhow? Raising 3 boys, I know what needs to be done.

You are doing great in the Make No Excuse department. You are such an inspiration! emoticon
