Storms MISSED us!!

Monday, May 23, 2011

Thank you to all who inquired about my family's safety!! Joplin, Missouri is west of us about 90 miles and of course most of you have heard how hard they were hit by tornado yesterday evening. The storm continued east but dropped south and although we had thunderstorms with hard rain and lots of lightning, we missed tornado activity (this time) The sky was really odd colors though, pretty but you knew by colors SOMETHING, SOMEWHERE was going on

Glad you are OK but so sad to think of all those who lost loved ones and homes. What a sky picture! Nature can be so beautiful but at its best but awful deadly at its worst. Hope this tornado season will soon end without any more lives lost.

Praying for those affected by the tornadoes. The weather has been really crazy this year. We have been having thunderstorms for the past two works with torrential rains and hail. Unbelievable for our area in May. Beautiful sky... Glad you and your family are safe.

Praising the Lord, Brenda that you are all okay. I saw the news on the weather channel and immediately thought of you. Those dear people in Joplin and all the areas hit by these storms surely need much prayer. emoticon

Beautiful sky, but you're right...it looks ominous. I'm so glad you're safe, but what a nightmare for the people in Joplin! They - along with all the victims this spring - will need our prayers.

Just 30 seconds ago, I was gasping at the computer screen as I read the news about Joplin's tornado! I love Joplin, and we got through there every time we drive home to MI to see my family! What a terrible thing! I am so glad your family is safe! I just hope this weather pattern passes quickly and we can have a normal summer...whatever that is! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
