Is it OK to plan a "Naughty Weekend"?

Monday, April 25, 2011

Dietarily I mean. This weekend my brother and sister-in-law came down, picked me and my daughter up and took us to San Francisco for their daughter's Engagement Party. I knew that there was no way that I was going to be able to count the calories at the party and in restaurants up there and back ( it's a 5 hour drive each way), so I decided to just eat what I wanted and relax. It was going to be hard enough to try to make sure that I didn't get anything with milk (since I'm allergic).

It was a BEAUTIFUL PARTY, a 3 hour cruise of the San Francisco Bay at night!

I did choose the lighter foods, and I was still able to keep it under 2000 calories each day. That is IF the calorie counts I found for the foods was anywhere near accurate.

I'll post a pic of me and my daughter in our Party dresses tomorrow. Right now I'm going to bed. Very late night last night plus 10 hours plus in cars over last 2 days.

You did fine! Its ok to take a break and enjoy you and family for a day or two. You did watch what you ate. I think you did well not to go over 2000 calories. Just get back on track and you will do even greater then before emoticon

Yes it is! The fact that you knew about it, didn't obsess over it, tried to do the best you could, and will get "back on track" are all very positive things. We all do the best we can, but to withdraw from life and the little challenges it presents isn't realistic. Hooray for you that did as well as you did!
